TORMENTA: Portafolio

TORMENTA

The photograph series here displayed reveals bodies assembled with a deliberate sense
of form resulting in overlapping bodies: entangled legs, diptyched torsos, mirrors with
bodies, always recurring to skin as an element to weave in the fears I don’t dare to speak.
Tormenta is sincerity, gut, pain, insomnia, uneasiness, and autobiography. It manifests
the shadows that surround me with fear in order to deliberate what is that I idealize and
what succumbs as unavoidable and ordinary. It is a life in shadow that manifests the
displacement of the within form the without, a shadow that give us structure and definition.
Tormenta proposes to change the birders of expectation, to move the horizon and make
it broader, to deconstruct as Derrida did. This photographic work gives expression to the
link between shadows and the soul of remembrances as manifested by a fragmented
body that only makes sense through the integration of pieces created within that person.
